Strawberry
What better way to celebrate National Rescue Day then to announce some berry exciting news!
Our Strawberry is officially home (and actually has been for some time, even if she didn’t know it yet) After struggling to let Berry go on a trial home visit with a potential adopter, her foster family just knew they wouldn’t be able to say goodbye again when that didn’t work out and she came back to their home. But over here at Swamp Haven we believe that everything happens for a reason because the connection that this family has with Berry was evident from the start.
Berry now has two big brothers that she looks up too adoringly and loves completely! Ziggy is her partner in crime and cuddle buddy, while she tends to follow oldest brother Dexter around 24/7 and annoy him with slobbery kisses that he begrudgingly accepts (and secretly likes) like only a true little sister can.
Strawberry went from spending her days covered in bloody scabs and itching herself bald before finally being surrendered to the shelter. She was scared, under socialized, and in desperate need of medical attention. She is now spending her days playing with her friends at daycare, enjoying gorgeous sunrise walks, exploring nature trails, and being loved unconditionally. Soak it up, baby girl - you’ve earned this!
