Mr. Hippo
Mr. Hippo has met his match in his new sister Jolene. They became such fast friends in fact that the issue quickly became, “how to teach these two they can relax with each other and NOT parkour off the furniture with toys all day.” Hippo has always loved other dogs, but he is a big boy who comes on strong, and we have seen many a dog get overwhelmed by him, so seeing the instant connection between these two, and seeing Hippo look at Jolene and say for the first time to a dog ever, “tone it down sister” we knew right then and there Hippo was home.
Hippo, now George Hippopotamus Wigglebutt, (George H.W. for short ) has a family who loves him for exactly who he is. George helps with cooking and cleaning, (crumb patrol and kitchen supervisor) he helps with laundry, (making piles of laundry turn into nests for him to sleep on) and he keeps up with all the football games with his parents and only “sometimes” falls asleep mid game. He even has a furry cat brother, who we all know is in charge of keeping these two hooligans in line.
But I can’t say it better than his parents did: “We are so excited and grateful to not only be able to call George our family, but also our not so little whiny cry baby little son.”
