Lorna Doone
When we first met Lorna Doone it was a Facebook plea about a senior hound set to be euthanized at a small, crowded rural shelter. The shelter said she “seemed to be in her own world watching imaginary butterfly’s fly by.” We couldn’t stop thinking about her kind face and the next thing we knew we were racing down to get her before her time was up.
Fast forward a few months, an amazing foster, and lots of TLC, and Lorna has completed her heartworm treatment, and instead of limping everywhere, her arthritis is being managed beautifully. Once aloof and spooked by things, Lorna now prances about demanding butt scratches from all, and will rub her face all over you, the other dog, and anything she is trying to get attention from. Lorna is truly hound goals, and we will never not be in love with her adorable ears and her tippy tappy hound dance. The best part of all is Lorna found a forever family who is in love with her for all the things too.
Lorna has a different bandana for every day of the week, she has her own shelf in the fridge for all her special treats, she goes on golf cart rides and best of all she has two loyal live in butt scratchers.
Happy life Lorna Doone, you special lady.
