Female, Medium, Senior
Elvira is around 12 years young and she is just the fuzziest old gal with the most adorable, grumpy underbite! Elvira was found as a stray and spent a couple months in a rural shelter before coming to us. She is heartworm positive and has a mass on her hind leg whose test results came back inconclusive. Due to her age we will not be putting her under anestesia to biopsy the mass further, and she will be doing a slower method to treat her heartworms. Elvira is otherwise healthy (she got wonderful bloodwork results!) and is full of pizzazz for life.
It is obvious to us that Elvira has not been handled or loved on much in her time before us, but she has been coming out of her shell with the grace only a wise old lady could, and she is loving the behind the ear scritches!
Elvira is great with other dogs socially, but is really looking for a home where she can be pampered and doted on as the only dog. Elvira is a roll around on the carpet or out in the grass, ride or die for food, let you sleep till noon kind of gal. She is a total breeze, crate trained, potty trained and we know she would make an easy and very fuzzy addition to someone’s household!
